MEP: Where are you from?
I was originally born in Royston, UK, but I grew up in Ramsgate, Kent.
MEP: Who’s in your family?
My wife and I have two boys; five years and eight months.
MEP: What attracted to you to the Middle East?
I joined Atkins and was originally coming over to work on the Wild Wadi, but that changed a day after I arrived and I got to work on the Burj Al Arab.
I requested to come back in 2002 – it was the draw of the buildings here.
MEP: In which other countries have you worked?
In 2002 I went over to Turkey after the earthquake.
That was a great experience.
MEP: How do you spend your free time?
I enjoy time with my family and I like to travel and see the world.
My parents have emigrated to Australia now so I’ve got the chance to fly the other way around the world!
It’s good to go and see different cultures and meet different people.
