Expansion plans for Empower

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Sunday, 01 April 2007

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) intends to doubles its capital to US $0.27 billion (AED1 billion) to meet ongoing expansion plans.

As part of this strategy, the district cooling provider is creating a new headquarters in Dubai's Healthcare City. The $54.5 million development will house the firm's central command and control centre for the monitoring and control of all its current and future district cooling plants across the UAE.

It will be designed, built and operated according to the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating.
