Anissa Helou

Helou started off with a career as Sotheby’s representative for the Middle East, followed by some time in Paris where she ran an antique shop and then took up an advisory role to members of the ruling family of Kuwait before embarking on a new course in her life in the 1990s involving cooking.

The trilingual chef who recently founded Anissa’s School, has made numerous media appearances and written extensively on food with columns appearing in the Financial Times.
