Arabian Business has come to know that Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace will be visiting Dubai Mall for the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience on October 10.
Dubai developer Emaar Properties has partnered with Vogue to bring forth this anticipated event in Dubai Mall’s Grand Atrium with 400,000 guests expected to attend.
Donatella Versace, who is Creative Director of Versace Group, will make three appearances, one in each of the Versace’s boutiques during the cocktail hour that will be hosted by the brand. She will then attend a fundraising dinner organised by the event on the evening of October 10.
Gian Giacomo Ferraris, the CEO of Versace since July 2009, expressed his admiration for Donatella Versace’s creativity in an interview with Arabian Business: “We need a voice that is able to coordinate the energy and give the distinction of the brand. Donatella is our creative mind, so her involvement is total, which means that not a single piece exits to the customer without the physical approval of Donatella. It does not mean that she is continuously working. She has a team, but she has 100 percent power to decide.”
Since 1997, Donatella Versace has managed the brand and is estimated to have a net worth of around $200m.
