Mr Cooper...I have never read such a ridiculous comment with regards to Europe in my life. You have little or no real understanding of what the EU now stands for. Its no longer the purported trading block...it is a 'dictatorship' trying to claw sovereignty from member states. Your slant on history is rather 'surface deep' if you think the EU is the way forward etc. You really do need to research deeper than your cornflake bowl or govt/mainstream media propaganda. There is no room to educate you here...you'll have to start with google as a 'tool' and expand your knowledge and sources from there. Come back in a week or two and have another go at commenting something meaningful!

Strange, Peter's website has been asking how long for a Grexit and how long before the Euro unravels for months whilst as Mr Angry correctly says, promoting Gold over everything, all the time.
Now he is on an anti-UK rant as ever.

I think if the Euro has proved anything, it has shown that the British were right not to join. The Euro is a political exercise, not an economic one. The problem is Economically speaking, it doesn't work!
It won't collapse, but some member states may exit.

United Arab Emirates
Did anybody seriously doubt that the euro would survive? Only the British are ever hopeful that Europe will cease to exist so that they don't have to decide whether to stay in the European Union! Thankfully on the continent the unity runs very deep and it is impossible to imagine a break-up happening. We are never going back to the horror of the nation states and the jolly old World Wars. The Arab World needs to go down the same route, though the euro shows how tough it is to have a single currency without a political union first.
