COMPANY DESCRIPTION
First Gulf Bank is one of the UAE's leading financial institutions and the second largest bank in Abu Dhabi by market value. The bank provides a range of financial services in corporate banking, treasury and investments, and retail banking.In January the bank announced record profits of USD 546.7 million, an increase of 31% on its 2006 performance.
Most recently the bank announced it had won approval to start operations in Libya. The bank will own half of First Gulf-Libyan Bank, with the Libyan government's Economic and Social Development Fund owning the other half.
