COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Mashreq Bank is one of the leading banks in the UAE attracting deposits and offering commercial banking services through its branches and subsidiaries. The bank claims to have a relationship with one in every two households in the country.It is listed on the DFM and is also the largest privately owned bank in the UAE, owned by billionaire Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair.
The bank has representative offices in across the Middle East as well as in the United Kingdom and the USA. In June it won regulatory approval to open its first branch in Kuwait, becoming the sixth lender from the GCC to open a branch in Kuwait.
First quarter profit advanced USD 126.7 million, while lending was up 48% and assets expanded by 53%.
