Twelve new channels could begin broadcasting from the emirate as early as next month.

Twenty-eight satellite TV channels will be launched from Fujairah within this year. Licenses for the channels have been issued by the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. Habib Hammoud, CEO of the Fujairah Media City, stated that 12 of these channels are scheduled to go on air next month.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, visited Fujairah Media City and Fujairah Broadcasting Service to check the progress of the work at the free zone.
