Mobile users to get entertained

The Dubai-based business enterprise Koohiji Group and mobile entertainment firm Hungama Mobile have announced a new business alliance that will grant consumers in the UAE legitimate access to mobile entertainment content for the first time.

Hungama Mobile has appointed Digital City — a business unit of the Koohiji Group — as its exclusive distributor for Bollywood, Hollywood and related digital entertainment content in the UAE and across the Middle East region.

Users will be able to access the content through operators and via web or WAP portals.Omantel deal for smooth operation

State-controlled telecom Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has inked a USS$11.6million deal with French firm Capgemini Telecom and Oman Computer Services to implement an operation and support system.

The project will increase efficiency and quality of service and help reduce the occurrence of breakdowns via an early warning system, Omantel chairman Saud bin Nasser Al Shikaili said, according to newspaper the Times of Oman.
