Mall worker's good deed
Posted by Bill at 09:27 UAE time
A good deed is a good deed YES. But the magnitude of the deed should be rewarded. I think 400,000 in cash would be enough for the worker to live like a king for the rest of his life, to give that up is more than most would be willing to do..

Mall worker's good deed

A good deed is just that - a good deed. No question of quantifying any reward arise. One who found the lost item did the right thing by returning it to the authorities. The case ends there. Period. If individuals with more cash should feel like sharing their good fortune with those who relatively have lesser of that fortune, I do not think anyone should wait till they loose a couple of their millions.

PATHETIC!!
Posted by RAJENDRA ANEJA at 15:39 UAE time
A mall worker finds 2.1 Mn AED in a Food Court, returns it immediately to the guard, and the money is returned to the owner. The reward is a pathetic AED 1,500 each. A Shame!! The minimum rewards should have been 10% of the amount!! Why are people so stingy, mingy, miserly when it comes to rewarding somebody for good work/actions? It shows that greed yet reigns supreme amongst many people, who are rich!!

Appropriate Rewards
Posted by Quest at 12:02 UAE time
Well done to the cleaners! Such honesty is indeed rare nowadays!
I agreed with Yvonne that appropriate reward for a cleaner for such decency should be cash which is much more useful to him and his family (rather than vouchers).
This kind of (relevant) reward will set great example to others to follow too.

Mall Workers turn in lost cash
Posted by Yvonne Dsouza at 11:46 UAE time
Instead of giving them 1500 aed vouchers , should have rewarded them wit some cash, which will be of more use to him and his family.
A cleaner and a worker need cash for their family survival, gving them vouchers restricts them to buy only certain goods which may or maynot be of use or need.....
