bad service

The most expensive communication services compared to all Middle East countries
With the worst service.
The lowest internet speed connections, with the most expensive cost
Too many users shared in one line.
Low peek hours they share too many outgoing call in one band width to reduce their running cost and the voice quality is very bad.
They add additional charges on your office telephone bells and if you want to receive detailed bill for all the out going calls they will charge you additional AED 100 for each months.
And they are proud that they are making the biggest profits compared with other countries.

Poor service

This is what happens when you have a virtual monopoly in place. The telecom operators in UAE, especially Etisalat, charge exorbiant sums for their services, more expensive than anywhere else in the world and the service you get in return in pathetic. The other day I bought a visitor sim (Ahlan) for a relative. It took 6 days to get it activated. Every time I called the Etisalat helpline I received the same response "It is a general problem and we are trying to fix it as soon as possible". And then you read the tall claims of UAE (especially Dubai) in the papers (state-controlled) and you feel disgusted at the lies and hypocracy.
