Airtickets price slashes
Posted by Salem ALSuwaidi at 09:07 UAE time
It's not about flying rolls or Hyundai, I've flown Emirates many times and have flown business and economy. I barely got good service in business, and no need to mention in economy.
I've flown Cathay Pacific business and I did really enjoy my trip.
I've flown Etihad Airways Economy and business, I was given more attention when I was in economy because I am a member of Etihad's guests membership, and I've flown business with Etihad and it was my best experience in the air. But I was talking to a Singapore hostess and she said maybe our cabins are not very fancy, but I will guarantee you that you will enjoy your flight with us from boarding till you leave the aircraft.
Singapore Airlines won the best service many years in a row which shows that it is on the top of all airlines, and comparing prices, Singapore Airlines prices are acceptable flying to the far east.

NOT anymore....

I have been traveling on Emirates for the last five years, and I am also a GOLD skywards member. All I can say is that Emirates has not maintained the service level. In addition, the airfare prices on Emirates is totally unacceptable even when compared with similar airlines. Can you imagine a return ticket on business class to Syria is more than double the price if you travel on Etihad. I don't know how Emirates expects to maintain its loyal customers. I have stopped traveling with them in the past four months because of the double prices and inconvenient service level.

Rolls Royce I dont think so
Posted by sandi at 09:37 UAE time
I find it nauseating that some people have this conception that anything thing connected with Dubai is top class. The constant superlatives used to describe Dubai have many thinking on these lines. I think Emirates has a long way to go to catch up with the service, interiors, food, comfort, give aways on Singapore Airlines or even Thai Airways

Emirates - lost the service edge

Emirates like Rolls???
Emirates was my favourite at one time. Emirates became too sure of its success and lost the service edge. Indian Airlines provides excellent service on-board like many other airlines. By the way, look at yesterday's Gulf News.... Emirates is selling dxb-new delhi at Dhs. 1300/- (wasn't it about 2300 just a few weeks back)... sign of things to come perhaps...

Rolls-Royce or a Hyundai Accent?
Posted by Abdulla Khamis Abdulla at 18:40 UAE time
For those who compare ticket prics with Emirates, make up your mind whether you want to travel with a Rolls Royce or a Hyundai accent? Both cars take you from point A to point B. If you want the luxury of a Rolls, then be prepared to fork out some extra dough. Same is the difference between Emirates and the rest of the carriers... Emirates can demand more because it is definately along the likes of a Rolls!!!

Air Ticket Slashes
Posted by Salem ALSuwaidi at 05:45 UAE time
At Least these Indian Carrier are competing against each other and also are competing against Emirates Airline + Jazeera Airways and Air Arabia and maybe Etihad Airways.
Since Fuel prices went down i remember reading once here that emirates are going to lower their prices. Unfortunately i found out that they ticketing prices of Emirates are going higher everyday, since i keep on monitoring prices of emirates tickets i found out this:
Emirates 1st class to JFK was about 36000AED, nowadays its more than 38000AED .
and very long time to fly from London to Japan VIA Dubai it cost less than 4000AED with return, but from Dubai to Japan economy that is cost more than 5000AED.
Emirates are trying to gain all the money they lost this year by keeping their prices the same without changing abit, rather than other airlines are slashing their prices, if they remained like this I believe Etihad Airways which i am a Big supporter to them, Will reach to the same level of Emirates Airline and also will pass them, If they did go in the correct path.
Etihad Airways are growing pretty good but they need some time.
Even their Prices are more reasonable than Emirates

Indian airlines flying to UAE set to slash fares

Why the fare slash 40% where ATF price gone down more than 80%? When the ATF price increased 20% the fare increase was 30-40%.
