RESPONSE TO TOM SMITH

If you had some intelligence, you would see that Mark Hughes was referring to the source of the story, not the website. But obviously that's too difficult for you to understand.

Striker

What a dreadful piece of reporting! Kaka is not even a striker and all other reports from real news agencies and the club itself say the deal is still ongoing!

More rubbish.

The above article is untrue as the kaka deal very much still alive.

Milan considering accepting the offer and if they do kaka will join gods own club. And manchester city forget ronaldo will have the worlds best player.

anil bhoyrul...reliable?

I won't go into the City Slickers scandal. But this is what Mark Hughes has just said about arabianbusiness.com:

“I’ve seen these reports but you have to bear in mind that the people who are being given a platform to speak do not represent the owner [Sheikh Mansour] or chairman [Khaldoon Al Mubarak].

“In my opinion they should not be given a platform to say what they have because in this instance it is completely untrue because negotiations are still taking place."

Abu Dhabi withdraws Kaka bid!

BBC TV news last night reported Kaka not being interested to go to Man city.
I know which report I'll believe, who turned down whom!

PUBLICITY STUNT

Even Abu Dhabi are not crazy. Or are they? Kaka is a great player - but not a $150m/£100m player paid at £500,000 a week...Man City are not AC Milan, and despite hardcore support (they are my second team and I used to work for them) never will be an AC Milan. He's not worth it. It's just a publicity stunt! In many ways Man City are cutting their own throats. Now every player they approach will be offered at an inflated price...Good luck to them, but in the current global financial crisis, it looks a bit crass. Remember the money Abramovich spent on Chelsea? They are not a world power and they always had a much higher reputation than Man City.

"Manchester City is about to unveil a new striker, but he is not called Kaka.”

I should hope not. Kaka isn't even a striker!!
