Why?
Posted by The Don at 00:40 UAE time
Why, is it filled from water discovered in Mars or Europa Moon?
Lets be more human, irrespective we can afford it or not: there are many people starving around the world and it would be much better to donate the price of this bottle of water (if you can afford it) to help those people who can't find bar minimum daily food portion nor water.

Jealousy
Posted by Jeff at 14:28 UAE time
Those who are criticizing are just jealous that they cant afford it. Guess what, there are people who can afford to shower with this water, and they are more important than your jealous selves!
I personally will buy it once or twice, but fully respect that some people will buy more of it, because thats what life is about, bling!
If you cant afford it, at least respect those who can , because they are richer than you .

Move on already
Posted by Jazz at 21:58 UAE time
Enough with the water, if I want to donate to charity I will and if I want to spend my money on something like Bling I will! Stores are full of people who can buy what they want, and wear the latest in designer clothes...fur...snake but not to buy a bottle with crystals? Make a proper argument people! Go Bling!

Come on pple! seriously wake up!
Posted by Lissa at 12:49 UAE time
Bling H2O is an interesting and new idea for the market targeting a niche market constituted of elite individuals or corporate entities - if you want to view it from a business side - eventhough its profitablity is still unclear. it has definitely shaken the world with its pros and cons.
And it surely highlighted further the absurdity of our world and its top heads!! this new brand makes you think of how far we are moving from being humanitarian and compassionate and how materialistic and shallow we are becoming! Water is a necessity for god's sake!! a necessity that people including kids are dying to get a drop of it! and who would buy it seriously?! if you are planning to, think again of what you would do with the excessive amount of money you have and try to give it a tiny little portion of it to a charity or even to me!

Wake up Its drinking Water for heavens sake !
Posted by Robert L Stevenson at 08:14 UAE time
Possibly the Dubai real estate developers, have moved into the water business.
Absolutely absurd the fact that " The same amount of money would supply a child in Africa with water for life " if you purchase this you really need retail therapy.

Not 250 DHS
Posted by Styler at 18:20 UAE time
As per usual things are being over hyped the price starts at 130 Dhs not 250 Dhs. For some people this won't make a difference, but it isn't targeted at the average Jo, just as a Porsche, Gucci, Prada, Cartier etc aren't.....

BLING H2O
Posted by Ruby at 18:00 UAE time
Many points are missing from the above article. Like the fact that the bottle isn't a consumable item, it is meant to be bought, kept and treasured. You don't generally buy Swarovski crstals and then through them away. The bottle is refilable and is meant to be used this way. Also did anyone actually ask or investigate, if BLING H2O gives back. I don't think you should judge based on incomplete information or articles.

To each his own
Posted by Etisalgood at 11:20 UAE time
Well I say to each his own. If people who can afford to leak 250 Dhs on a bottle of water, then so be it. This is nothing but a win-win for Harvey Nichols -- it gives them free publicity and raises the store's profile as a prestige brand among big spenders.

tacky
Posted by paul at 10:24 UAE time
Would anyone actually think that such a bottle was stylish and would engender admiration from others?
People would just think you were a total tool. How about spending the money on sponsoring a water project in Africa (with a Swarovski encrusted nameplate honoring you if you really cannot bring yourself to do anything discretely)? You'd still be a tool, but at least you'd make the world a better place.

Bling H2O
Posted by Samantha at 23:59 UAE time
Bling H2O Target market: unintelligent wannabees
Please don’t compare buying a luxury pen, Ferrari or for that matter a product of true artistic expression with Bling H2O. It is probably the most ill suited “luxury” item ever conceived of. Its hard to believe that Harvey Nichols even agreed to stock it.

Think Outside the Bottle
Posted by Jeremy M at 21:49 UAE time
I can't believe people fall for the monetization of something that's already free and readily available in their healthy tap systems. Why not donate these proceeds to places that aren't so fortunate?

BLING Water..!!
Posted by Punky Brewster at 14:15 UAE time
Why do people just complain or moan or comment about other peoples' business??!! I mean, think abt it... we can say all the things, good or bad, abt the company promoting it, or the people buying it, but if there's a market out there, why not! I'm sure each sip of it would prob taste good, to them, but I don't think it's even worth discussing it. Let the COMMON Sense prevail here, if there is a buyer or not! Maybe in some homes, it would look nice to have a bottle with swarowski crystals, but let the consumer decide. If you see it, you would'n't buy it, but prob admire it. I would do the same too... Let go. There are far too many problems that could get some publicity, than BLING...!!
