The fact that it did not means that today the airline's IT head, Klaus Giesemann has a massive catch-up task ahead of him, he tells Colin Edwards. But with 25 years’ experience in the airline industry, initially with Lufthansa's IT division and then Amadeus, an airline solutions provider, he is more than up to the challenge of delivering the IT infrastructure that one of the fastest growing airlines in the world needs to keep it flying high.
