Earlier this year, Omneon partnered with New York's Tekserve and Hollywood's Integrated Media Technologies (IMT) to deliver new workflow solutions targeted at the television and motion picture post-production market. According to the deal, Omneon will build purpose-built storage solutions based on the MediaGrid active storage system to enable efficient and highly scalable editing and repurposing workflows.

BBC World Service has selected Omneon’s Spectrum media servers to provide ingest and playout for its new Arabic TV service. The free-to-air channel, with studio facilities in the UK, launched in March with a 12-hour service that will expand to 24 hours in the summer.
