VPS Healthcare has launched its flagship Burjeel Day Surgery Centre at the Arc Tower, Reem Island which it said is the largest in the Middle East.
With 36 specialised physicians, 60 nurses and over 100 support staff, the centre is the only medical facility at Reem Island and also provides Ayurveda treatment – an ancient system of Indian medicine, along with other specialties.

Al Reem Island, a multi billion dollar planned mixed-use community, has been at the forefront of the Abu Dhabi government’s real estate development plan in the emirate that includes essential amenities like schools, medical center, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, gardens, and beaches for an estimated 200,000-plus residents.
The Burjeel Day Surgery Centre facility has a total of 64 consulting suites, three operating theatres, three endoscopy suites, two recovery rooms, 24 daycare beds and a robotic pharmacy.
It offers a wide range of services including cardiology, dentistry, dermatology and cosmetology, pediatrics, family medicine, ENT, internal medicine and physiotherapy.
“We have chosen the services as per the needs and requirements of the community at Reem Island and are welcome to suggestions to add to the list of services being provided,” said Michael Ghani, director of operations, Burjeel Day Surgery Centre.
