A Saudi app that offers products and services at discounted prices has attracted over half a million users, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.
‘Sale’ allows consumers to review more than 4 million commercial promotions, from 1,168 shops across the kingdom, licensed by the ministry.
The Arabic-language app, launched in January 2017, offers products that range from clothing to cosmetics and household appliances.
It also acts as the main source for identifying all the licensed and updated sale and promotions in the Kingdom, with users being able to search the MCI database directly through the app.
It is meant to protect consumers against delusory sales, according to the ministry, which has supervised the project developed and operated by Thiqa Business Services Company.
Sale’s features include has enabling consumers to reach sale sites by accessing a GPS service.
The app can be accessed through the Apple Store and Google Play or its website sales.sa
