Our client, a fast growing organization, is actively recruiting for a Archivist to be based in their Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Office. This role will be primarily responsible for arranging, documenting and safekeeping of archival documents and materials. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to appraising permanent records and historically valuable documents, preparing document descriptions and reference aids such as accession lists, indexes, guides, bibliographies, abstracts and other storage technology and filing and cross indexing of selected documents in alphabetical and chronological order, following binomial classification system of animals and plants.To qualify for this role, you should be living in Al Ain with a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic languages is highly required. You should be experienced and knowledgeable in binomial classification system, SML and digital referencing tools.
