Our client, a large wildlife park and resort based in the UAE, is seeking to recruit an Veterinary and Laboratory Technician

Your duties will include

- Providing basic medical and surgical care at a location or specific collection as requested

- Participatingin the restraining or immobilization procedures necessary to bring animals under control for examination

- Conductingphysical examinations under guidance of veterinarian

- Collectingblood, tissue, and secretion samples for analysis and testing under guidance of veterinarian

- Assistingduring surgery>br>
- Undertakingbasic laboratory testing e.g. parasites

- Preparinganimals for surgery and treatment under guidance of veterinarian

- Implementingpreventive medicine and husbandry programs such as vaccinations, worming, nutrition, foot care, dental care, and quarantine examinations

- Preparingand maintainingmedical records

- Assistingwith the immobilization and shipment of animals- Maintains and services facilities and equipment

- Maintains absolute cleanliness and the highest standards of hygiene

To qualify for this role you must have the ability to follow instructions and learn, clear empathy with animals and the ability to handle and care animals to high standards,communication skills ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet systems and ability to work effectively with others with4 to 8 years relevant experience in a veterinary surgery, hospital or laboratory, fluency in English is a must and ability to work in a multicultural institution.
