Our client, is a leading business development and investment company based in Dubai is seeking to recruit Medical Business Development Manager
Your duties will include
Working collaboratively with the senior management team to ensure consistent high standards of service and commitment to quality are met.
Developingand implementingthe business development plan as well as participate in the strategic marketing and promotion plan for the laboratory.
Locating opportunities and identifying, marketing and closing new accounts in accordance with corporate goals.
Managingand overseeingbusiness development activities (lead generation, account management, concludingagreements).
Youwill also be expected to effectively makedirect contact with other stakeholders such as hospitals and physicians and be able to clearly communicate the value proposition of the laboratory services.Having strong, pre-existing contacts within the healthcare provider industry along with well develop leads and relationships is an advantage for this position. This position reports to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
You will ensure the needs of the business are met as it evolves. Your main responsibility will be to seek and develop relationships with key healthcare providers in the UAE (primary market) and the GCC (secondary market)
Develop and cultivate professional contacts with all clients, but also with key leaders and decision makers in order to develop this business throughout the region.
Oversee and execute the successful management of the entire business development process lead generation, credentials pitch, evaluation, account management, follow up, develop proposals, negotiation, and closing agreements. Self-manage large strategic accounts and work towards the development of partnerships, qualification of business opportunities, and long-term growth plans for the company's business. Become a key point of contact with the customer, identify customer requirements and communicate to the concerned stakeholders.
Gather and report as required specific major opportunities and market data, analysis of competitive intelligence and application to strategies as appropriate. Evaluate customer and market requirementsthrough market researchbusiness intelligence activities, as well as competitor strategies through competitive analysis and benchmarking. Participate in defining marketing and promotional strategies in the region as agreed with other senior managementGM to generate new revenue streams, further penetrate existing ones, and enhance awareness and interest of domestic (UAE) and international (GCC) prospective clients. Identify, organize and participate in promotional activities such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars.
Establish and manage a Medical Business Development department within the organization depending on the requirements of the laboratory.
Basic Qualifications
This is a leadership position that requires an individual who brings deep industry knowledge, has experience in complex selling environments and proven results growing and penetrating account relationships
Minimum 8 years medical business development experience, with at least 3 years operating at a managerial level
LAB EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
Bachelors (Masters preferred) in Business Administration or Science (with a biologyhealthcaremedicine focus)
Must have regional GCC experience and strong exposure to local medical markets at management level within a similar role in a medical laboratory setting
Good knowledge of the GCC healthcare industry and an ability to present back healthcare solutions to the client
Have strong, pre-existing contacts within the healthcare provider industry along with well develop leads and relationships
Strong communications skills must enjoy and be able to confidently present to physician groups
Proven commercial acumen and a track record in converting initiatives
Strong background and experience in sales and business development (lead generation, account management, negotiation, closing deals, etc.)
Extremely entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and balanced in the ability to think and act tactically and strategically
English language and Arabic languages are a must
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Capability of working independently and to tight deadlines
Willingness to travel within the GCC
