A consulting firm in Kuwait are looking for a Senior Project manager to oversee other project managers, project teams, other consultants and clients.
The Senior Project Manager will beresponsible for the successful completion of large/complex projects. The Senior Project Manager will have assigned teams for his/her projects and after consulting with all Department Heads, will assign the work and ensure that it is properly completed. The lead designer (Project Architect or Engineer) will make all design decisions but the Senior Project Manager will ensure that the design team do not design beyond the contract requirements.
When another firm is engaged as a sub-consultant, it is the Senior Project Manager's responsibility to ensure that the lines of responsibility are clearly defined and that there is adequate coordination between offices.
The Senior Project Manager must be capable and experienced, with authority to speak for the firm in dealing with the client and to direct and expedite the work.
The Senior Project Manager will be assessed on the profitability targets of his/her projects in addition to client satisfaction and teamwork criteria.
The Senior Project Manager may be assisted by Project Managers and/or Assistant Project Managers depending on workload. He/she may also be required to provide supervision and mentoring to Project Managers who will be independently managing small to medium size projects or projects of low complexity.
You will receive a project assignment from the Directors in the proposal stage.
Participate in preparing the proposal with the Business Development Team in conjunction with the Heads of Departments.
Participate in presentations to clients.
Participates in the preparation of the contractual agreement with the Client.
Ensures that the project brief with the Client if clearly defined in the contract.
Defines and clarifies the Project TOR (Terms of Reference), the Client's Requirements in a CRD (Client Requirements Document), Project Deliverables and Time Schedules.
Arranges for, assembles and collates Objective Data such as, but not limited to:
Topographic Surveys and contour maps
Geotechnical Reports.
Existing utilities on the site and municipal services infrastructure around the site.
Arranges for, collects and collates Subjective Data such as, but not limited to:
Space programme and planning relationships from the Client or from Specialist Sub-Consultant in conjunction with the Project Architect.
Applicable building Codes, Laws and Regulations in conjunction with the Project Architect.
Reviews, verifies and validates all data received and ensures that all necessary data is available.
Prepares the Project Budget for Director's approval.
Prepares the project management plan using the template in the company manual and sets up all contract administration systems keeping the entire project team informed.
