Daily Tasks:
" Reporting to the planning and internal controls manager
" Supervising 4 Area Senior Planners and contract package senior planners
" Providing technical leadership/support, advice and instructions to the project planners
" Preparing monthly reports to the client
" Reviewing contractor's clause 14 programmes and determining proper review code
" Working closely with the interface coordinators in establishing priorities and resolutions of the interface issues
" Responsible for the Master Time Schedule update and reporting
" Time assessment for the EOT claims and Variation Orders
" Ensure planning tools and procedures are implemented and followed

" Time-management - able to work under pressure to tight timescales
" Communication skills - very good written, spoken and presentation skills
" Analytical/Technical skills - P6 / MS Office, Risk management, Planning tools and practices
" Interpersonal skills - able to lead and work with multidisciplinary, multicultural design and construction, project management and client teams
" Successful candidate must be articulate with professional presence, and solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills

Our client is now looking for a lead planner to be a part of a prestigious infrastructure project in Muscat.
As a lead planner you are required to have following particular requirements:
" Overall minimum 7 years post qualification experience
" 5 years experience on international airport projects
" Preferable 3-5 years of Middle East experience
" Engineering degree
" P6 knowledge
" Excellent communication skills - need to run and chair progress meetings with contractor's senior management
" Good knowledge of planning tools as well as extension of time claims protocol
" FIDIC contract knowledge / very good commercial awareness
" Programme management, PMCM (Consultancy) background
