A leading contractor in Saudi Arabia has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer.

The project is a multi million data centre based on the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

The Electrical Commissioning engineer is needed to commission, maintain and service HVAC, HPAC and all electrical supplies to Cool rooms used in data centres.

The senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer will work in a multi-disciplined team environment with primary responsibility for day to day support of facilities and superior uptime of production data centre electrical environments.


The work itself will involve electrical fault finding ability and electrical repair skills.
High, medium, and low voltage power engineering for Critical Mission Facilities such as data and communication centres are essential.

You will be familiar with:

• Bus bar trunking systems, Cabling principles and all electrical cabling installations.
• Horizontal and vertical distribution ways and Protective devices and switchgear.
• Emergency power systems, i.e. UPS systems, rectifiers, by-pass systems, speakers and generator systems.
• Electrical safety for the electrical installation and Lighting protection.
• Lighting fixture arrangements as well as the emergency lighting.
• Grounding and equipping potential bonding (including signal reference grids).
• Data Centre electrical efficiency and performance and Applicable codes and standards are introduced.



Candidate Qualifications and key skills:


• Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience of progressive commissioning experience on data centres.
• Good overall knowledge of other Data Centre technical disciplines, e.g. mechanical (especially cooling equipment), physical security, BMS, fire fighting systems, health and safety, network cabling and transmission systems.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Previous experience in a field service role
• Having previous experience, a minimum of two data centres
• Strong electrical faultfinding and repair skills
• Self starter with good communication skills.
• Scheduling, planning, conducting and co-ordinating electrical work on facilities.
• Serving as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors and design teams.
