Overview
To provide direction for the strategic implementation of Student Services with in Education Sector for local Government, including formal examinations and other student assessments, and extra-curricular activities to ensure smooth implementation in schools and providing the highest quality service.

Description
-Oversee the provision of services for students in all schools across the Emirate including examinations and extra-curricular activities, to implement policies created in the P-12 Education sector and to enhance students education experience;
- Oversee the provision of examination and other student assessment services in schools ensuring accurate and timely assessment in line with all standards prescribed by the Department of Civil Service; - Oversee the development of extra curricular activities to meet the development needs of all students with coordination with other government departments to enhance the educational offering and improve student outcomes;
- Ensure accurate and up to date information is provided to the Customer Services Centres to assist in answering parent queries on student examinations and other student services in schools;
- Oversee the monitoring of student performance and evaluate and identify reasons for poor performance and make recommendations for strategy that will boost student performance in identified areas, in coordination with the Curriculum and Assessment Division in P-12 Education;
- Develop student assessment methodologies in line with internationally benchmarked standards and make necessary improvements to processes based on feedback and student performance; -Oversee the communication of results for student examinations both internally, for performance monitoring and externally to stakeholders and the public, in coordination with the Communications and Public Relations Manager;
- Oversee the communication and publicity of extra curricular activities available to the students of the Emirate and ensure local community approval, in coordination with the Communications and Public Relations Manager;
- Ensure regular assessment of the needs of students in schools in the Emirate and coordinate with the necessary Sections in P-12 Education to develop strategies to improve the services provided to students.

Credentials

- 8+ years experience with at 4 years in a senior managerial role;
-Demonstrated high level skills in leadership and personnel management in the educational sector; - Extensive experience of a large educational organization in a senior level position;
- Demonstrated understanding of the student examination and assessment process;
- Masters Degree or above in a relevant education discipline
