Our Client is a major world-wide player and its operations in the region are twofold, namely Road / Asphalt Contracting and Quarrying. Regionally they employ approximately 800 employees and generate turnover of around USD 175 million, with their bottom line growing at 35 to 40% year on year.
They employ state of the art plant and machinery, in order to execute all their contracting work and to deliver quality product from their crushers. They supply aggregates (both natural and crushed), mainly into the UAE market, which at present is booming and are constantly looking out for any developmental opportunities across the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial/sales background with some technical knowledge in quarrying and/or asphalt manufacturing/road surfacing. You will have a strong personality as you will have two GMs, one sales exec, one Ops Manager looking after four asphalt plots and two Quarry Managers all reporting in to you. You will drive the commercial and operational aspects by consolidating the clients relationship with existing clients and expand business within the UAE. You will also be monitoring productivity (cost/ton and tons/employee) with the aim of being the lowest in the market. You will therefore ensure that performance against contracts is monitored and addressed as appropriate.
