Our Client is a rapidly growing power and tranmission company. They are seeking a Development and Training Section Head with experience of working in the Power industry.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Identifies the employee's development areas and plan comprehensive training and development programs accordingly to ensure that all staff achieves high professional standards and they have the necessary skills to help the organisation attain its strategic objectives.
- Developing a comprehensive training package that encompasses development needs elements in order to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce and to fulfill the needs of the organisation .
Functional responsibilties of the role:
Strategic:
- Develops development and training strategy for the organisationto support the organisation's business plan and to ensure that staff have the necessary skills to meet their objectives and the opportunity to develop to the maximum of their personnel.
- Directs and controls the departmental staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to be able to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Maintains close communication with managers and staff to discuss training needs and to ensure that they are fully aware of training opportunities available.
- Develops and monitors the organisation's training budget to ensure that he best quality of training and development is provided within the established budget.
Operational:
- Undertakes regular assessments of training needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with departmental managers and other business units supervisors.
- Develops the master training plan with cooperation of other departments to meet identified needs.
- Collaborates with senior leaders to develop guiding principles, strategies and plans; conduct comprehensive needs assessments; determine education, training and development priorities based on assessed needs, business impact and available resources.
- Prepares the training budgets and develop the administrative framework required to support training and development programs and initiatives; formulate policies, procedures and schedules to support training operation and initiatives.
- Keeps managers and staff informed of internal and external training calendar to ensure timely communication of training programs offered within the company.
- Amends and revises programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that might occur.
- Arranges internal training and development programs, using external suppliers and consultants as required to meet identified training needs.
- Conduct the training Plan and training calendar revision with cooperation of departments' managers as per the internal HR policy and oversees the development of effective processes for the evaluation of all training and development provided.
