Our client is a leading power and transmission company seeking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer.

The purpose of the role:
- Supervises over technical project execution support such as cost control and project monitoring.
- Assists in the schedule, scope of work and cost estimation for construction, engineering and consultative projects.
- Performs contractor evaluation and proposal analyses.
- Responsible for contributing to project cycle to include design, review of engineering designs, reference drawings related to specialist engineering fields, provides necessary comments, development and project completion.

Operational:
- Responsible for engineering design and detailed analysis of Electrical and Instrumentation projects.
- Designs electrical systems/equipment to provide useful and safe workplace.
- Devises and outlines maintenance procedures for electrical systems/equipment to ensure maximum service life and utilization.
- Monitors installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
- Determines which system is needed and determines the specifications to show hoe the systems will be utilized.
- Provides preliminary drawings and/or samples for selection and approval.
- Reviews existing electrical designs and specifications being purchased or fabricated. Assistance is provided for existing facilities, electrical estimations for equipment and construction as well as modifications for mechanical and plumbing designs.
- Provides requested services while meeting safety codes, specifications and budgetary limitations. Ensures the new systems are compatible with existing systems and operate without causing.
- Coordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of activities.
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance toward project execution for the resolution of difficult and complex project control challenges.
- Uses expertise and technique in cost control and contract management and coordinates estimation and analysis efforts.
- Develops cost estimates for project activities during initial stages of projects, assesses manpower costs, material cost, activity and task costs, and estimates project adherence to contract guidelines. Reports deviations to management accordingly.
- Evaluates cost estimates, expenditure forecasts, manpower plans and development of schedules submitted by contractors, vendors and various project teams during the execution phases of projects.
- Assists in setting projects' milestone schedules and manpower plans requirements.
- Interfaces with investors, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports on projects and services based on gathered information.
