Our client is looking for someone immediatly as a Technical Fuels Instillation and Technical Project Manager for the Fuels Division of their company based in Dubai. You must have a minimum of 10 years related experience on major fuels technical projects.


Main Liaison:

Internal:Assistant Project Manager, Compliance Manager, Construction Project Planner.

External:Local GM's, Local Contract workers, local authorities (either military or civil, Procurement


Prime Objective: To supervise the timely and cost effective delivery of Technical Fuels Projects for either vertical, horizontal or fabric storage options, transfer pipelines, upload, download areas, pump skids and other technical construction projects via civil works contractors.The person will advise on fuels type construction requirements and specifications and ensure this is followed by the contractors.It does not require a formal construction background.

Key Tasks:
" Ensures that the PMP is adhered to and timely changes are recommended from a technical perspective.
" Recommends most suitable and fit for purpose solution based on technical specifications and characteristics.This will include total turnkey solution to either procure technical equipment or to build/construct a technical solution
" Ensures that the Project Budget is maintained for technical issues andchanges are justified and submitted in accordance with financial rules.
" Ensures that the process for recording any new works or procurement changes are adhered to with an Investment Approval (IA) and the required quantity of quotes for the works.
" Drafts the SOW for any major planned technical construction in accordance with the PMP.
" Ensures that the contract is followed by the contractor against technical specifications.
" Assesses technical completed works for fit for purpose and design against the SOW.
" Act as point of contacts for communications between interested parties.
" Advise on requirements for standards and standard operating procedures that pertain to construction.
" Makes sure that all SOP's are followed correctly and all required construction tasks are done and registered on the forms provided by the AOC Construction/ Quality Manager
" Ensures where applicable that schedules and responsibilities are maintained in order to and maintain continuous work effort to the Project and the safety of contractor workers.
" Provides any reports of projects to AOC Construction and other required reporting agencies.
" Makes sure that all incidents / defects / product non conformances and contractor or customer complaints are reported to the Project Manager,
" Arranges preventive / corrective maintenance to equipment if required.
" Overseas local contract workers and acts as a direct liaison between contract workers and Project Manager.

Essential Skills and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a minimum of 10 years construction orEssential:

Education and /or Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience on major fuels technical projects.Must have ability to construct MS Project products and to utilize spreadsheets for budgeting purposes.

Language Skills: An understanding of the English language, speaking and reading.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical construction problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization and resources exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.


Desirable:
" Desired abilities- Work cooperatively with other employees,
" Desired knowledge -Construction experience in similar field of fuels with both steel fabrication, pumping equipment and/or pipelines. Good computer skills with MS Office and also working knowledge of MS Project.
