Our client, an international company based in Qatar are currently seeking a,HSE Managerwho will be reporting to the Subsidiary Managing Director.

Job ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities

Develop, implement and manage the Subsidiary's HSE program
Establish and update the HSE policy and Management Commitment document
Communicate to the organization the regulatory, Subsidiary and Group HSE expectations
Measure, document and report the Subsidiary's HSE performance
Assess opportunities for improvement set and achieve goals based on the Subsidiary's HSE performance
Ensure HSE Plans are developed and implemented at Subsidiary and facility levels
Support operations in developing Jobs and Task Hazard analyses
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment requirements are established and managed
Define with Operations the frequency and responsibilities for facilities HSE inspections
Prepare and organize HSE meetings at the Subsidiary level, ensure deployment at facility level
Ensure personnel involvement in HSE
Set department priorities to effectively support sustainable compliance on Health, Safety, and Environmental issues. Prioritize issues and projects to achieve sustainable compliance with all applicable mandatory regulations and Group requirements
Help develop HSE related training and qualification activities and requirements
Research and drive implementation of HSE best practices
Stay current on regulatory issues and trends through seminars, other Subsidiaries or Group HSE departments, and networking.
Communicate and coordinate efforts with other Subsidiaries or Group HSE departments
Minimum requirements for functional knowledge

Comprehensive understanding of applicable HSE regulations, concepts and trends
Ability to understand and interpret complex mandatory regulations and their impact on the Subsidiary's operations
Ability to anticipate and plan for changes
Strong interpersonal skills ability to interact with different groups with diverse needs and requirements ability to motivate and manage the performance of others
Self-starter with the vision and drive to lead a Subsidiary's HSE program
Computer literate
Ability to participate in on-site investigationsmeetingsvisits
Fluent in English or French


Education and Experience

Engineering degree or equivalent
Relevant experience in HSE field
