Reporting to the Senior Facilities Engineer, the role holder will be a professionally qualified engineer responsible for the review, analysis and improvement of all engineering processes and procedures currently in place on the site(s) he is responsible for. The Facilities Engineer will, together with our clients management team, the client and site based client staff, introduce best practice facilities engineering across his site(s)
To review, together with the Facilities Assistant, the current methods of operation on site and methodologies employed by the client, the Client based staff and Subcontractors with a view to reporting the same to the Senior Facilities Engineer and suggesting credible and achievable improvements. To provide facilities engineering advice, support and guidance to the clients site management teams, staff and building users. To lead coach and manage a small site team in the delivery of best practice facilities engineering solutions. To implement on site any Asset Life Cycle Management strategies developed by the clients and our client.
To work, together with the client organisation and our client's senior management team, to introduce best practice policies and procedures for: Facilities Engineering, Health & Safety, Environment and Energy Management and Sustainability. To manage, together with the Senior Facilities Engineer and Facilities Assistant; The performance, monitoring and supervision of all Subcontractors through SLA's, KPI's and service specifications, the relationships between our clients and the client/Site based client staff ensuring all contractual obligations and expectations are met. The financial data required to forecast the cost of future asset replacement and calculations in support of repair/replace decisions.
To work with the Facilities Assistant to ensure that performance criteria is understood and respected by the Subcontractors and to introduce performance improvement plans where this is not the case.  To provide facilities engineering input, during the design and construction phase, to ensure that facilities engineering operational issues are identified and highlighted. To provide facilities engineering input as required, during the commissioning and handover phases of new builds, renovations and minor new works, to ensure that the client receives assets in good working condition.
 To qualify you will have a minimum of 5 years post degree experience of implementing and managing planned preventative and reactive maintenance systems on single or multi-property portfolios. Management of the life cycle of assets from selection and installation, through to maintenance and eventual retirement and/or repair. Computer Aided Design plus use of standard MS Office software packages. Knowledge of Arabic or Indian dialects would be advantageous.  You will also posses a degree or similar in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
