Our client, is a diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services control technologies for buildings, homes and industry automotive products turbochargers and specialty materials is currently seeking to recruit Training Manager reporting to the Technical Service Director.This will be based in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the stewardship of the training offerings for UOP's process technologies. This will include conducting and leading technical training in those technologies at the Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) Training Center in Saudi Arabia for multi-customer training and at individual customer sites. The responsibilities will also include coordinating and developing effective learning solutions for UOP customers and employees. A primary focus for this position will be to assess training needs and coordinate the development andor tailoring of effective product learning solutions for UOP customers. Specific knowledge of UOP technology and engineering practices as well as adult learning practices is critical to the success of this position. You will interacts closely with UOP's Engineering Department, Technology Services, Regional Services, Engineering, Marketing and Sales groups to develop and deliver effective customer and internal training.

Direct Accountabilities

Conduct assessments to identify customer training and development program needs and generate training proposals and contracts for training engagements
Develop, deliver and maintain customer and internal training for process technologies (both classroom and web based training)
Serve as subject matter expert and conduct training classes for UOP customers and employees. Training may take the form of classroom learning activities, case studies and problemsolving exercises and include the use of simulation tools.
Support curriculum development and update training material where needed to meet customer and internal needs
Support the development of effective skill assessment tools to evaluate student learning and skill readiness
Demonstrate in-depth domain knowledge, product expertise, and knowledge of industry practices
Participate in long-term strategic planning and lend technical and training development expertise to support new product launch initiatives
Collect and analyze customer training requirements to support planning and scheduling of courses to meet worldwide customer training demand
Basic Candidate Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, major in chemical engineering
Some experience in technical training
Minimum of 10 years experience in the refining andor petrochemical industries (engineering, operations, development, sales, manufacturing, engineering or services) andor Academia
Ability to travel up to 30%, and handle evening and weekend work hours as needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Additional Qualifications

Background in UOP process technologies preferred
In-depth knowledge of UOP's business, its organization, its Service model, and staff is desirable
Experience in training development methodology, adult learning theories, instructional design, and performance improvement disciplines.Proven ability to provide innovative training solutions
Ability to drive on-going mission critical projects to completion
Eager to learn and develop professional training skills. Resourceful, with ability to work and learn independently where necessary
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, problem solving and interpersonal skills required
