Business Development Executive – Land Transport | Dubai, UAE
Develop and implement the sale plan for Dubai with a focus on revenue growth, business development and profitability growth. This would be achieved through offering Distribution solutions to the clients and building strong brand equity.
Job description in detail:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Sales Plan to support the Sales and Marketing strategy.
Establish sales policies, procedures, selling and reporting guidelines to support the sales team in achieving the objectives, growing market share and increasing revenues.
Manage the sales cycle from the contacts stage to the post-closing stage for all sales to ensure all customer requirements are well understood and responded to taking into consideration the capabilities offered by the company.
Works in term with the Distribution/ Operations Team to ensure all contractual requirements are well understood and ensure smooth on-boarding and execution of the contractual requirements,
Deliver agreed revenue and share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; Achieve the monthly ‘Maintain the Aim’ KPI’s and support the team in achieving their KPI’s,
Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, and research and market intelligence to the GM – Sales & Marketing highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue,
Review and track progress (self and team) against revenue and targets; analyze sales/ revenue reports; recommend and propose changes to existing plans and operating budgets; implementing approved changes,
Coaches and supports the sales team members; motivating them to achieve sales targets and building strong brand equity,
Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives; take tactical actions to counter, protect and build the company’s position,
Work closely with other internal departments and stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure client/ contractual needs and expectations are communicated to achieve positive results,
Develop teamwork, demonstrating shared goals and values. Provide leadership guidance and support to all staff in the area. Enable the team to ensure staffs are recruited, trained and motivated; develop appropriate succession plans,
Proactively work with the Finance Department to ensure all payments are collected within the agreed timelines as per the credit terms the customer has with the company,
Ensure all customer visits, opportunities and any other customer information (by self and team) are updated into One-View in line with the requirements and expectations,
Job Requirements :
The suitable candidate will possess:
3 – 4 years of applicable business development / sales experience providing solutions in Land Transport and Cross Trade.
Ability to understand clients Transport challenges and structure effective solutions.
Ability to prepare management reports in connection with preparation of pre-qualifications and contracts.
University degree or vocational education is desired.
Bilingual would be an advantage.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong relationship building and negotiating skills
High energy and results-oriented
Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational, project management and analytical skills
Excellent client / management presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
Language Skills English is the principal language required for this position. Knowledge of other languages is helpful. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
IT Skills Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and other technical software is required.
Work Hours and Environment Normal working days for this position are Sunday to Thursday; however, because of the need to communicate with individuals in various time zones, work outside of traditional office hours will often be required.
