The role are: Successful operation of hydraulic, electric, and friction cranes for the purpose of unloading and back loading supplies and equipment to and from vessels. The crane operator is responsible for the performance with a safety first attitude. The crane operator is responsible for the planning and preparing of maintenance, and maintaining the crane and all equipment. Maintaining inventory supplies and keeping rig inventory. Supervising activity and training Roustabouts along with specific requirements for job performance. The crane operator is responsible of swapping generators while monitoring fuel and water. Responsible for continuously informing Rig Supervisors of current conditions. The crane operator is responsible for the maintenance of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, Fire hoses, and suggestions on life saving techniques. The crane operator is responsible for the maintenance of a regularly cleaned rig and assisting other crew members. Maintenance for Hazardous Communication and implementing the standards is another function of the crane operator. Responsible for teaching all Roustabouts and Floor hands the crane operation hand signals. Only males are allowed to apply. A crane operator must perform through the long and arduous hours in all types of weather. Possessing good eyesight is a physical asset which is a natural requirement during the operating of the crane.
