Started in 1982 as a small catering company, our Client has grown, developed and become a business conglomerate with a spectrum of activities in industries such as real estate, hospitality, education, catering and investments.

It is now a well known name throughout the Middle East and still growing at an amazing speed.

Our Client is looking for a Procurement Director to join their well established Procurement team of 8 people. This is a position that requires a confident, communicative, stable and experienced gentleman of Indian origin with over 15 years experience in large, corporate establishments.

Your role will be varied and exciting, liaising with all departments to negotiate and source the best possible materials.

As the perfect candidate you will:

1. Have at least 15 years experience in Procurement within large organisations.

2. Have awareness of the local and international market prices and trends.

3. Have strong managerial skills, good team management skills.

4. Have extremely strong English communication skills both written and spoken.

5. Know procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralized purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law.

6. Laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and other requirements governing the purchase of commodities and services for the City.

7. Have the ability to build a good relationship with the Chairman and gain the trust and respect of other departments.

8. Interpret contract provisions and review contracts for accuracy and changes prior to bid and renewal.

9. Excellent organization and planning skills.

10. Proven negotiation and contracting experience across a range of complex contract structures.
