A Finnish company that specialises in bespoke smartphones is offering pre-orders for limited stock of 24k gold plated iPhone X with a starting price of $3,477 (AED12,700).

Designers at Legend can custom-make the devices to meet clients’ specifications with personalised features such as custom logos, precious stones and alternative inlay materials.

Ready designs include the Aurum model, a 24k gold plated iPhone X with a black mother of pearl inlaid logo decorated with solid 18k gold rim. A diamond edition with a diamond encrusted Apple logo and bezel is also available in the same model.

The iPhones come with 256GB memory and are kept in a luxury presentation box which includes 24k gold earpods, a custom made leather pouch and a certificate of authenticity.

Other models include the Fusion, which boasts a forged carbon fiber strip inspired by the watch industry. The center inlay is framed by patterned silver plates with black rhodium or platinum plating. According to Legend, the pattern inside the oval frame represents dragon skin.

In addition, the firm offers Corium models featuring 24k gold plated iPhones housing premium quality crocodile leather inlay and a logo made from hand cut black mother of pearl decorated with solid 18k gold. The design can be further customized with various bespoke options such as backlit VVS1 Diamond logo.

Lastly, Legend claims the Classique model has the simplest yet most elegant design, with an in-house developed logo with illuminated VVS1 grade diamonds and hand engravings of the scroll ornaments which required over 35 hours of etching.

Customers in the GCC can pre-order the iPhones on the firm’s website.
