Bought in late May 2015 by Mandarin Oriental and the Saudi Olayan Group for $145m, the Ritz Hotel is a huge baroque palace in the centre of Madrid and has paid host to the likes of Salvador Dali, Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner.
