German chancellor Angela Merkel gives a government declaration to announce her government's decision to send arms to Iraqi Kurdish forces at the Bundestag on 1 September 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Germany will furnish Kurdish peshmerga troops with anti-tank weapons, machine guns, hand grenades, assault rifles and other military hardware with a total value of 70 million euros ($91 million) to help them push back ISIS separatists.
