Where is it?
In the heart of Dubai, wedged between Sheikh Zayed Road to the west, Al Khail Road to the east, Business Bay to the north and Al Barsha to the south.
What’s it like?
Very industrial, with some oases of calm hidden in its midst. There are also a lot of residential areas and well known art galleries.
Where’s the best bit?
Alserkal Avenue is the place to be seen. It’s a creative hub encompassing close to 40 businesses within a one-block radius and is known as the arts district of Dubai.
What sort of businesses are there?
There’s a big mix, but the bulk of Al Quoz is home to industrial businesses. There are also art galleries, publishing houses, farmers’ markets, and many other unexpected things.
How do I get a spot?
Al Quoz was developed by Dubai Municipality, so perhaps try them first.
What’s the downside?
It’s a bit of a labyrinth and very easy to get lost, which isn’t great if you’re expecting people to come to your business.
What’s the upside?
It’s fairly cheap and you can find a huge variety of units, offices, factories, and so on.
What else should I know?
It is split into four distinct areas; Al Quoz 1, 2, 3, and 4. Areas 1, 2, and 4 have residential areas.
