Foodie start-up Mandilicious has signed a deal with US-based franchising company Francorp to take the brand into new markets around the world.
Launched by founder and CEO, Fayez Al Nusari in early 2013, Mandilicious was the first chain to serve traditional mandi in food courts, with six outlets across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Now, the brand has the potential to spread throughout the region and beyond.
Al Nusari said: “From the beginning Mandilicious was built as a global brand. Early on we received a considerable amount of interest from potential franchisees, and we soon realised we needed to join forces with a company like Francorp that had substantial industry experience in order to make the most of those opportunities.
“We chose to work with Francorp because we wanted to work with an organisation that is proven to work to the highest international standards. Francorp’s strategy for Mandilicious truly complements our existing endeavours and we are looking forward to a successful, fruitful relationship with them as we build and franchise our brand.”
Imad Charafeddine, president of Francorp ME/Levant, added: “We at Francorp are very excited to see franchises expand in the region. Franchising is becoming a necessity for many local companies aiming to achieve more business success.
“Awareness of the importance of franchising is increasing day by day, as local businesses realise the positive impact that it can have on their development.
“We are pleased to add Mandilicious LLC to our successful client list and to offer them our franchise consultancy for their expansion programme. This is due to their remarkable success as a pioneer in the Dubai food industry. We now have the opportunity to duplicate their local success and know-how to other markets.
“Through our franchising agreement, it is our commitment to implement our long-standing history of success, expertise and vast experience, and offer a comprehensive full franchising development programme to Mandilicious.”For all the latest business news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
