Fog has caused delays to some flights at UAE hub for second time in less than week
Flights are again delayed at Abu Dhabi International Airport due to fog for the second time in less than a week.
More than 6,600 passengers globally were stranded late last week when runway landing systems failed during dense fog on Thursday.
At least 500 travellers had to be accommodated in hotels in the UAE capital on Friday night after missing their connecting flights.
Etihad Airways, which is based at the airport, said on Sunday its flight schedule had almost returned to normal and it was attempting to reunite hundreds of pieces of luggage with passengers.
But further fog on Monday morning has caused additional “minor delays” to “a small number of flights”.
