British heavy metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his band Black Sabbath are set to play a concert in Abu Dhabi in May, organisers have confirmed.
Promoters Flash Entertainment have confirmed Osbourne, who enjoyed renewed notoriety in recent years as the star of an MTV reality show based around his extended family, will perform at du Arena, Yas Island, on Thursday May 29.
Black Sabbath were formed in Birmingham in 1968, and the 65-year-old frontman is often referred to as the "Godfather of Heavy Metal", with album sales of around 100 million.
The Abu Dhabi gig falls towards the end of the band’s latest world tour which kicked off in Helsinki, Finland, last month and will take in cities in North and South America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
Tickets go on sale at 1pm on Wednesday December 18 and will be available at Ticketmaster and Virgin Megastores.
