Queen Elizabeth II has hosted a reception for the dramatic arts at Buckingham Palace, following the glamorous BAFTA ceremony which honours the year’s finest screen achievements. Among the guests was actress Joan Collins.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, met Dame Helen Mirren at the event, as well as nature film-maker Sir David Attenborough.
Dame Helen Mirren entertained attendees with a speech from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
Queen Elizabeth II was also introduced to cast members of stage musical, My Fair Lady.
Other famous faces to meet the Queen at the reception were (L-R), Alan Rickman, Lynda La Plante, Dame Angela Lansbury, and Steve McQueen.
Comedian turned serious actor Lenny Henry shared a joke with the Queen.
Rising start Luke Treadaway was also in line to meet the head of the British royal family.
Among the entertainment on stage was a performance from My Fair Lady, including British television legend Trevor Eve, and RADA graduate Jessie Buckley.
