Businessman pays $20,000 for one night at NYE party pad

A Lebanese businessman has paid AED70,000 (US$19,057) to hire a Downtown Dubai duplex to bring in the new year in style. The unnamed businessman will host a lavish New Year’s Eve party at the 7,000 sq ft duplex penthouse, a spokesperson for the owner of the property told Arabian Business. Just what else could he have done for the same price?

The money could have well spent on the needy who dont have even the liberty or access to the clean water or a one time food...

he could hv sponsored 20 orphans for 2 years!!! just next door to him in Syria and Palestine, I am sure will not be difficult to find them. This could be an idea, besides obviously the very intellectual ideas of how many business class tickets and how many nights in a luxury hotel.
