The first phase of Dubai’s Mohammed bin Rashid City could be completed in seven years, according to PNC Menon, CEO of Sobha Group, which is jointly developing the project with Meydan.

Mohammed bin Rashid City – Distric One will feature 1,500 luxury villas, 7km of manmade lagoons and beaches, the world’s biggest shopping mall, more than 100 hotels, a Universal Studios franchise and a public park larger than Hyde Park in London.

The project will be split into four phases, and construction could be completed in 12 years.

MBR City will have a range of accommodation options, including six bedroom Mediterranean villas.
