After sturyidng the 50 top companies , one can have idaed thta Dubai economy is still fragile , as the major portion of the investment goes to service sector , Real estate and insurance . Dubai need to divert investment to High tech industry, Advanced engineering and other industries , commodity business rather than speculative business . Dubai should realize its regional importance rather than its National economy , which has upper limit and is prone to situation

Etisalat is not a Dubai based company . The title is top 50 Dubai companies.. Then I suppose why is Ajman bank listed. The answer might be that it is listed on the DFM . So is Etisalat.

guys read well the Methodology

The list of Dubai's top 50 largest companies was based on the AED market capitalisation of Dubai Financial Market and NASDAQ Dubai listed companies at the close of trading on 23 August.

No government-owned entities or privately-held companies were included in the rankings.
