US celebrates Washingtons birthday

Americans have celebrated the birthday of the first president of the United States, George Washington, who was born in February 282 years ago. Re-enactors, statesmen, members of the military, and the general public gathered at Washingtons Mount Vernon Estate in Virginia, for the Presidents Day celebrations, which also honour the birthday of Abraham Lincoln.
