  • i was pretty sure that my comments will never show
because they prove that lebanese are advancing all arabs together and by far , while the intention of the owner of this chart is clearly to put gulf people and especially saudians in ranks that they don't deserve

but i will take your chart and make a video about it , and at the end of the video , i will show the names of many lebanese genius in all fields of science art and business who deserve more to be listed in it
and let people decide themselves what is it about your biased chart which is completely subjective trying to give gulf people a stand that they don't deserve at all

Wow !! Mr. Issam Fares with all his social institutes and educational boards could not beat Haifa on the influential list. Lebanon is amazing !!

  • I'm surprised that Amr Khalid is not on the list!
Quoting from Wikipedia: "Amr Khaled has recently been chosen as number 13 of the world's most influential people by Time Magazine and sixth most influential intellectual in the world by Prospect magazine." Surely then he should be in the top 500 Arab list!

  • It's not who makes "the list" in my humble opinion or who is the "most successful"...but who has "found significance" in that he brings lasting impact to the lonely, the abandoned, the unemployed, the hungry, the medicaly needy, the homeless. I believe significance is found in humility, generousity and selflessness, distributing to the needy at large (not to organizations) that evaporate charitable contributions, other than those few charities which truly give to the poor opportunities to learn trades, to read and write. to build homes, to grow food and farms and to procure medical treatment without holding them captive in gratifude, but who "freely give"

  • This list is a complete job! Where's Bouazizi?? Where's El Baradi??
Completely not based on any facts.

Tuesday, Mar 29, 2011 12:39 PM by Ahmed AlQassem

  • Again a ranking of influential Arabs . What did all this lot give to the Arab people : singers , actors and a lot of nobodies but rich
people who most probably paid to be on this list.
Don t we have any Doctors who saved lives in the rab World and abroad , any scientists and any struggling people in palestine and
    other countries.
Mohamed Bouaziz triggered a revolution that never took place in the Arab World . He redeemed dignity and freedom to all Arabs
who can say NO and I do not Agree , now.
please respect us and spare us these useless lists unless you work
seriously and fairly on compiling them.

Monday, Mar 28, 2011 1:09 PM by Hind Al Yousef

  • I am surprised whoever compiled this list left out the one true infleuntial (in terms of conscience not money) person in the Middle East over the past year: Mohamad ElBaradei.

He is easily a top-5 figure in such a list. And leaving him out and including unknown bloggers is very shameful.
