Qatar National Bank (QNB), announced its sponsorship to the Tasmeem Doha 2008 Exhibition organized by Virginia Commonwealth University - Qatar (VCUQatar) in partnership with the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs.


The sponsorship agreement was signed at VCUQatar offices in the Education City by Mr. Hamad Y. Al Nuaimi, Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communication, on behalf of QNB and Ms. Allyson Vanstone, Dean of VCUQatar on behalf of the university.

Tasmeem Doha 2008 will take place at VCUQatar from 03 March 2008 until 06 March 2008 and will include 13 international designers, design exhibitions and panel discussions. Participants will include practitioners, design professors and students from academic institutions and facilities throughout the world.

This sponsorship comes in line with QNB's support to education in the country. Community development is a major part of QNB's focus. The bank is keen on providing students with the opportunity to learn from highly talented professionals who will speak at the event and present their worldwide experience during the event.

QNB has been supporting some of the best graduates of VCUQatar since 2003 as part of its commitment to support educational endeavors by Qatar Foundation.

QNB's support will benefit some of the bright minds to develop the technical skills necessary for demonstrating their creativity and to assume careers and leadership roles in the future.
