HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) visited Kuwait today 29th April 2008 pursuant to an invitation from Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait to HRH to attend the 4th World Islamic Economic Forum in Kuwait.

The Prince was accompanied by a delegation form KHC that included, Mr. Salim Alhindi President of Rotana Audio, Mr. Ahmad F. Altobaishi, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Nahla Alanbar, Private Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Ms. Hassna Alturki, Assistant Executive Manager, Travel and External Affairs Department.

Upon his arrival at Kuwait airport, Prince Alwaleed was received by HH Sabah Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah son of the PM who was accompanied included HE Abdulaziz Alfayez, Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait.

HRH and the delegation then headed to the Bayan Palace to attended the inauguration of the 4th World Islamic Economic Forum that was attended by a host of royalties, presidents and prime ministers of Arab and foreign countries that included HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, the President Hamid Karazai of Afghanistan, President Abdoulaye Wade of the Senegal, in addition to high ranking officials and prominent economists and scholars.

The forum focused on various economic and developmental issues of concern. Moreover during the forum Prince Alwaleed met with the Amir of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the PM of Kuwait.

After cordial greetings, both sides discussed the warm friendship between their Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. HRH's direct investments in Kuwait through KHC include International Financial Advisors (IFA), Kuwait Invest Holding and indirectly in Movenpick Hotels and Resorts in Citigroup and News Corporation.
